While working on the Green Book website, my main focus was to make everything uniform and accessible. I wanted to make the information clean and easy to read while creating a general theme to bring the whole website together. That’s why I chose green for the background and details to specifically match the name of the Green Book. I chose specifically a gradient of green, so all the colors blend together and make it easy and assessable for users to see and read information. For my unordered list I decided to make it into a brand-new section called “Fun Facts!” to add extra information about the Green Book that wouldn’t necessarily fit anywhere else. I decided to make the unordered list go along with the theme better, so I added a sprouting seed emoji as the bullet points. The design choices that I made play a key role in the storytelling of the Green Book. The green theme and sprouted bullet points add thoughtfulness to the project. It specifically shows uniform to the theme and lets the user know that these design choices were purposeful and not random. While doing this project, I found that at first, it was difficult to get started because the idea of coding something new with very little experience was daunting. But, as soon as I got started, the language started to get easier, and my experience became quite enjoyable; and I started to understand how to code. When I ran into problems it took some time to first navigate how to resolve any issues I was having, but after using the resources that were provided I learned how to troubleshoot and continue working on the project. In the future, I would like to improve the design layout and possibly add transitions to the website to make it more interactive and pleasant to look at.
